Editorial policy

Roost is run by Bowerbird, which is building CI runners of its own. This page sets out the rules that keep a vendor-run price guide honest.

Ownership, stated plainly

Roost is run by Bowerbird. That is said in the footer of every page, in llms.txt, and in the dataset. Blue is reserved for Bowerbird on this site, so once it is listed you can always spot it.

The same rules for everyone

• Bowerbird has not launched yet, so it is not listed. When it is, it goes through the same data pipeline, the same sources rule and the same rankings as every other provider. It gets no special sort order, no extra caveats left out, and no favourable scenario.
• Where Bowerbird loses (on price, platform coverage, regions or features), Roost shows it losing.

No paid placement

There are no paid listings, no sponsored rankings and no affiliate links. No provider can pay to be listed, moved up, or removed.

No "cheapest" claims

Roost doesn't call anything "the cheapest". It shows the cost of a stated job under a stated method, and lets the numbers speak.

Corrections

If a number is wrong or out of date, tell us. Corrections from providers and readers are welcome, and every correction is applied through the same review as any other data change. A public corrections log and a "report wrong data" link on every number are planned.
